Annual Homecoming Parade at Lane College

JACKSON Tenn. — Lane College kicks off the weekend with their annual homecoming parade.

This year’s theme is dragons forever. Lane’s week long festivities include homecoming coronation, memorial golf tournament, 2024 hall of fame, 20 Under forty awards, and more.

The parade was lead by American actor/producer Lamman Rucker, a distinguished alumnus at the university, serving as 2024 Homecoming Parade Marshall. This years match up is against Central State University at Lane field.

“We have people that travel home to be a part and to enjoy everyone. We also have a lot of the community, alumni, students, and more that come out to just enjoy the homecoming and be here with family and friends,” said Markayla Cheshier, student at U of M Lambuth.

Lane’s next football game is scheduled next Saturday the 26th at Savannah State University with kickoff starting at 3:00pm.
