Black Friday deals to make holiday traveling easier

JACKSON, Tenn. — With the holidays approaching, trends show a majority of people plan to travel to see family this year.

There’s good news! You can expect plenty of travel bargains this year, especially on Black Friday and days leading up. That’s according to travel experts with booking.com, who just announced up to 50% off places to stay, up to 20% off rental cars and more Black Friday deals that are soon to be rolling out.

“Traveling during the holidays, it’s going to be busy. So plan in advance. My big tip is always try to find that first flight out where delays might be a little less to happen,” said Julie Loffredi, travel expert for booking.com.

Those who are already worrying can minimize that stress by having a game plan.

“Pick a destination, preferred travel dates, set a budget so you’re not scrambling when the deals drop. Flexibility is a big plus too. If you are open to shifting your dates or destination, you can sometimes find even better discounts,” said Loffredi.

One of the big trends experts are seeing right now is the idea of getting the whole family together. It’s called multi-generational travel and turns out boomers are willing to foot the bill.

“Around 80% are happy to treat their kids. About 78% do the same for grandkids,” said Loffredi.

Cruise-takers can snag deals with up to $2,000 in on-board credits and loyalty perks. Multiple attractions are discounted as well. Experts remind travelers the discounts are time-limited, so once you see something that fits for you and your family, make sure to jump on it. Travel experts say bundling, for example adding a rental car, can help stretch savings. Black Friday deals through booking.com will start November 21.
