Police investigate incident on Faris Street in east Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, we received several calls from our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters regarding a large first responder presence on Faris Street in east Jackson. Callers say they also heard gunshots in the area.

When our crew arrived, the Jackson police department, fire department and EMS were on the scene.

There was also crime tape up blocking off a portion of the road. Officers appeared to be searching the area of a nearby home.

We called Jackson police who were not able to confirm any details at this time.
