Police seek suspects in storage unit burglary
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE NEWBERN POLICE DEPARTMENT:
The Newbern Police Department is currently investigating the burglary of storage units located at East Drive Mini-Storage. On January 9, 2025, at approximately 12:00 AM an unknown male and female entered the property and made forced entry into a storage unit with multiple items reported stolen. The subjects were observed on security camera footage driving an older model black Dodge Avenger. Photos of the suspects and vehicle are attached.
Anyone with information about this incident or knows the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact the NPD Criminal Investigations Division at 731-627-2571 or Crime Stoppers at 731-285-TIPS (8477).
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
