Black Light Zumbathon
Hardeman County was moving and grooving at “Zumba for Syndi,” Friday evening. The event was held to raise money for West Tennessee families receiving treatment at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. This was no ordinary Zumbathon. It was in the dark or at least only lit with black lights. The event was held at Bolivar Health and Fitness and highlights the nomination of the Aylor family, as LeBonheur’s 2011 “Miracle Maker Family of the Year.” Syndi Aylor, 8, was helped by LeBonehur following a lawnmower accident in 2007 that damaged her right foot. She has since made a full recovery. Friday’s event was a way for Sydni’s family to join in the effort to raise money so LeBonheur can continue to help families and to restore other children’s lives. “We were very honored that they called us,” said Jennifer Aylor, Sydni’s mother. “Like I’ve said, we were nominated by someone at the hospital and we are just very privileged to help out and do this for LeBonheur.” To find out how can help other families like the Aylors who receive care from LeBonheur visit www.lebonheur.org.
