Icehouse of Jackson invites working women to unwind with exclusive event

JACKSON, Tenn. — Working women now have a place to unwind here in the Hub City.

A working women only event aims to build connections, encourage others, and provide lessons from other working women held at the Icehouse of Jackson located at 112 East Baltimore Street.

This social includes women working in a variety of careers and fields and it’s the first working women’s occasion of it’s kind in the Hub City.

This will be a reoccurring event on the first Monday of every month. It’s for women only and is held from 4 to 6 pm. It’s a time to mix and mingle, collaborate, and share ideas.

“As a working woman and the owner of a business I just want to give some time to the working women out there. When you’ve got children or even if you don’t have children it’s a lot of time to separate time for yourself. Just to have time to go let loose a little bit, sit down, have some hors d’oeuvres, have some drink specials, food specials and things like that,” said Dina Cothren, owner of Icehouse of Jackson.

This is an initiative to invite more engagement with the community throughout the city in the heart of downtown.
