The winner of the cookoff will receive a trophy to display in their restaurant’s dining room for years to come.
Along with the chili cook off, there were makeup events that were rained out during UT-Martin’s homecoming.

“You know with anything starting out, like last year it had to get its legs up under it. It has done that and it’s continued to grow. Next year it will get a little bigger and so forth and so forth, and so we’re excited for the great turnout that we’ve seen already from our community and we look for this to grow and become a community event for years to come,” said State Director Dwayne Webb.

St. John’s Community Services aids in employment, community integration and residential services for those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
