Boom Indoor Sportsplex Officially Opens In Partnership With Humboldt City Schools
State-of-the-art reconditioned facility to serve as home of Jackson Boom’s high-performance training and a new sports-education hub for Humboldt students
(December 2, 2025, HUMBOLDT, TN) — Jackson Boom is proud to announce the official grand opening of the Boom Indoor SportsPlex, a state-of-the-art athletic training center created in partnership with Humboldt City Schools. The facility marks a major investment in West Tennessee sports development and a new era of educational collaboration focused on preparing local students for careers across the sports industry.
Jackson Boom has reconditioned the former Humboldt Junior High School campus, transforming it into a fully modernized sports complex that includes:
- Four full locker rooms
- Strength & conditioning performance area
- Sports medicine and recovery space
- Video analytics and scouting room
- Coaching and administrative offices
- A fully turfed indoor field using the same turf recently installed at the MTSU football stadium
The Boom Indoor SportsPlex will serve as a year-round training hub for Jackson Boom as the club prepares for its upcoming entry into the United Soccer League (USL) — ensuring Boom athletes train at a professional standard right here in West Tennessee.
“The Boom Indoor SportsPlex represents a major step forward for our organization and for the entire Humboldt community,” stated Cesar Quispe, Club President – Jackson Boom. “Transforming this building into a high-performance training center not only prepares our club for the USL but also creates real opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and pursue careers in sports. We are proud to partner with Humboldt City Schools to ensure this facility impacts far more than athletics—it will shape futures. We are honored to be here.”
A Transformational Educational Partnership
Through its collaboration with Humboldt City Schools, the facility will also serve as an innovative learning environment, providing students with internship opportunities across multiple sports-related fields, including:
- Sports broadcasting & media
- Athletic training & sports medicine
- Strength & conditioning
- Technical coaching & analytics
- Hospitality, operations & logistics
- Sports management & event production
Students will work directly with Jackson Boom’s professional and technical staff, gaining industry-level experience that helps prepare them for college programs and future careers.
Dr. Janice Epperson, Superintendent – Humboldt City Schools recently commented, “This partnership with Jackson Boom brings extraordinary value to our students and our city. The Boom Indoor SportsPlex provides hands-on learning that cannot be replicated in a traditional classroom. Our students will gain access to industry-level experiences in sports medicine, broadcasting, coaching, analytics, and many other fields. We are grateful for Jackson Boom’s investment in our community and excited to see the educational impact this facility will create for years to come.”
