Milan residents gather for free holiday fun
MILAN, Tenn. — Folks in Milan gathered for some food, prizes and a cheerful Christmas movie Monday evening.
The kids played musical chairs while parents ate popcorn and listened to some Christmas music. The event coordinators wanted the community to feel welcome so all festivities were free of charge.
“Times and the way things are nowadays, everything is hard for people, some people don’t have or are less fortunate so communities will stick together, especially communities that don’t have much to offer, so that where we come in at, we try to, you know, try and do things for the community and the kids,” said Wayne Pettigrew, event coordinator.
The organizers will have other events coming up next year, so be sure keep an eye out for those.
