Flames engulf house in east Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — A fire in east Jackson has engulfed one home.

First responders were at the scene of a large house fire along N Hays Ave Friday evening.

Billowing smoke filled the sky as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.

Police also blocked off parts of Lexington Ave and Deaderick St. We reached out to the Jackson Fire Department, however they were not immediately available for comment.
