2-day ‘Eleos Pastor Conference’ offers spiritual nourishment to Bolivar residents
BOLIVAR, Tenn. — A local pastor conference, the first of its kind in the City of Bolivar, is now underway.

Leaders of the church joined together to engage in spiritual wellness Friday as First Baptist Church in Bolivar hosted the first ever Eleos Pastor Conference.

The two-day conference focused on overcoming many different types of difficulties and how to grow closer to God.
“So tonight’s conference is Eleos 2026, we really formed this conference to be for the struggling, for the people that need healing, we’re going over topics such as healing from grief, loss, tragedy, suffering, trauma, abuse, things like that,” said Adam Rimmer, pastor.

Tickets went for $20 per person and food was provided to all attendees.
The word “eleos” comes from Greek translating to mercy, compassion, and pity.
The goal of the conference is to experience eleos, not as a word but as a person to connect with.
“So putting this conference together has been a lot of fun because I got to spend time with five or six guys mostly through zoom, cause some of them live off Knoxville and places like that but we’ve got to spend a lot of time praying and planning for what this conference might look like, so we’ve had a lot of laughs, a lot of jokes, and a lot of fun,” said Matt Boatwright, pastor.
The gathering of leaders, teachers, and disciples are dedicated to giving attendees a moving and educational experience.
The conference will go on through Saturday, the 3rd, from 9 a.m. 7 p.m., with more speakers and more opportunities for learning.
The church hosting the conference is located at 826 West Market Street.
