Traffic stalls after log truck overturns on S Highland Ave
UPDATE (6:39pm): Traffic has resumed as usual and no further delays are expected.
UPDATE (5:30pm): According to JPD, all northbound lanes of S. Highland are open at this time. There is still some congestion in the southbound lanes due to only one lane still being closed at this time.
JACKSON, Tenn. — A semi-truck hauling logs overturned on South Highland Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Crews from Jackson Fire and Jackson Police are working diligently moving fallen logs to the median to assist with cleanup so the truck can be safely moved. Jackson Fire utilized chainsaws to make the logs easier for teams of JPD officers to roll them off the roadway.
Both directions of South Highland Avenue were shut down due to the accident. Northbound traffic is being rerouted through the Fairgrounds parking lot over to Magnolia Street.
Southbound traffic is currently being turned around at the scene of the accident. The condition of the driver is currently unknown.
