Palmersville Volunteer Fire Dept responds to residential smoke call
PALMERSVILLE, Tenn. – The Palmersville Volunteer Fire Department responded to reports of smoke in a residence at approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 24.
Palmersville Volunteer Fire Department said firefighters arrived and discovered a malfunctioning gas fireplace. The fireplace was creating smoke throughout the home.
According to PVFD, the fireplace was turned off immediately and firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to ensure there was no other risk of fire in the home. Firefighters vented the home to clear the smoke out of the house.
No other fire danger was found in the home.
