Hardeman County leaders give update on recovery efforts following winter storm
HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn.–Many communities are still working around the clock to clear roads and restore power following the weekend winter storm.
WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News spoke with Hardeman County EMA Director Don Taylor who shares the conditions of the surrounding area.
He says many Middleton residents are still without power and they are working to bring electricity back to everyone affected.
Taylor also said Highway 125 South is in really good shape but says the bridges are still an issue.
“We got several crews out right now clearing trees and things of the back roads and everything at least we can get them open so we can do ow them if emergency services needs to get down them, said Taylor.
Even though many main roads are beginning to improve, back roads and side streets continue to be covered in ice so driver need to be cautious when getting out.
