NORTH JACKSON — Jackson Christian students will participated in the annual Math-a-Thon to help those in need. Elementary students worked math problems with the aid of high school students to raise funds for the hospital. The event, sponsored by the Math Honors Club, benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “Many of our students have family that have been effected by St. Jude and have been helped and…this is an opportunity for us to give back to an organization that is strictly devoted to children as Jackson Christian is,” Joan Gateley said, the JCS math department chair. Jackson Christian has participated in the Math-a-Thon since 1992 and has raised more than $200,000 to benefit St. Jude.
