Tranquilized bear hangs onto tree as long as possible before falling into net
(WRGB) – It was a surprising sight Tuesday in upstate New York.
A bear was spotted lounging in a tree in Albany, forcing officials to shut down nearby streets as a precaution.
The bear was sedated and, after hanging on to the tree for as long as possible, fell into a net and was captured.
It’s not the first time a bear has climbed a tree in the city.
In 2022, wildlife authorities captured a bear using the same method before safely relocating it.
