Jackson opens renovated transit transfer center
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson is cutting the ribbon on a newly renovated transfer center, marking a major investment in public transportation and community mobility.

City leaders and partners gathered at 431 East Main Street for Thursday’s grand opening, celebrating upgrades designed to improve safety, accessibility, and service for riders across the city.
“So we have updated the inside in regards to you know giving it a new look. The inside there is going be new seating, there’s going to be additional restrooms. Just an upgrade from years and years of wear and tear,” said Melinda Clark, planning and grants manager Jackson Transit Authority.

The project was made possible through help from the city of Jackson, TLM, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, and midsouth construction, all working to support growth and better connectivity in the area.
