Woman Accused of Threat on Facebook

McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn.- A McNairy County woman is behind bars, accused of threatening a witness in an animal cruelty investigation. Investigators said they arrested Mariah Westbrooks after she allegedly sent a threatening Facebook message to Cheryl Dawson. The threat comes after Westbrooks’ father, Anthony Westbrooks, was charged with animal cruelty in early November, accused of starving his horses. Investigators said Dawson is housing the only living horse that was seized from Westbrooks and is also a witness in the case. Investigators told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the message contained threats to Dawson, racial slurs, and other insults. Mariah Westbrooks is charged with coercion of a witness.
