Religious Emphasis Week at Lane College

JACKSON, Tenn. — A more than century long tradition kicked off at Lane College as this week is Religious Emphasis Week. It is an effort to provide focus on the relationship between the college and church. Elder James G. Dowell Senior is the guest preacher at this year’s event. He said that it is a great thing to have spiritual help in the community. “Even though we are in a world where there are many challenges where there are many problems we still need Jesus we still need him as out guide in our lives and that is important,” Pastor James Dowell said, the event’s guest preacher. The public is invited to attend all services throughout the week.
