Trailer loaded with baby formula found in Kentucky
FRANKLIN, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky State Police say they’ve recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen baby formula during a traffic stop in south-central Kentucky.
Police said in a news release that Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers made the stop on southbound Interstate 65 near the Tennessee state line and found a load of baby formula in the trailer without proper paperwork.
Police said investigators determined the load was taken Feb. 3 from Fayette County, Ohio. Police said it was valued at $360,000.
The release said the cargo was recovered after the stop last Thursday and the victims notified.
The investigation is continuing.
