Boil water advisory issued for Town of Sardis

SARDIS, Tenn. — The Town of Sardis Water System has issued a boil water notice for all customers.

Crews are currently working on repairs following a water line break overnight that drained the tanks.

The CDC advises potentially-contaminated water should be boiled for at least one minute — or three minutes for elevations over 6,500 feet — before consuming.

There’s currently no estimated time of completion. A notice will be issued once customers can safely consume water again.
