JACKSON, Tenn. — What started as grocery bags on mailboxes ended at local post offices for national Stamp Out Hunger day. Every second Saturday in May, postal carriers drop off the mail and pick up grocery bags of non-perishable food items. All food collected is taken to a local food bank. Postal carriers said the community response to the mission is great to see. Donations in Jackson will make their way to RIFA’s food bank on Monday.
