JACKSON, Tenn. — U.S. Marshals have arrested a man wanted on a dozen charges in Gibson and Weakley counties. Marlon Jones was taken into custody Tuesday in South Fulton, according to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service. He faces charges including aggravated burglary, theft and vandalism and has been at large since warrants were issued for him on May 1 after a string of burglaries and thefts. Acting on a tip, investigators found Jones hiding under a bed in an apartment complex. They had previously determined he had been moving around the West Tennessee area to avoid officers. The Gibson County Sheriff’s Department contacted the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force May 6 after finding out Jones may have fled the Gibson County area. Investigators from the Jackson Police Department Gang Enforcement Team, Tennessee Department of Corrections and the Obion County Sheriff‘s Department also were involved in the arrest.
