DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man went before a judge Tuesday in city court on accusations of illegally having someone else’s debit card. William Freiburger was reported Saturday by an employee at Circle K on North Parkway for allegedly trying to buy cigarettes with debit cards that weren’t in his name. Police approached Freiburger in a car in the store parking lot and got permission from the car’s owner to perform a search. Officers found two debit cards belonging to two different people. Police contacted one of the debit card owners who told them he had lost the card and that Feiburger did not have permission to use it. Freiburger is charged with illegal possession of a credit or debit card. He is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
