JACKSON, Tenn. — Lane College officially kicked off its 2015 football season Friday with the team’s Media Day. After only winning one game in 2014, Coach Derrick Burroughs says they’re ready for a turnaround season. Burroughs says first and foremost, the team has to focus on mentally becoming better players and men before the wins will come. “I want to make sure we have a bunch of guys that’s committed to changing the culture of our athletics,” Burroughs said. “We want to surround ourselves with guys that want to win football games.” The starting quarterback has yet to be named. The contenders are returning starter Terrance Ayers and incoming signal caller Marcus Reynolds.
