Two groups of West Tennessee students took a trip to Mississippi, Friday to learn more about technology. About 40 students from Jackson and Brownsville paid a visit to Northwest Mississippi Community College, courtesy of Tennessee Tractor for a look at new and modern technology used in agricultural production. Students toured classes and interacted with students and teachers about what it takes to learn and use this type of technology in repair, planting, fertilizing and harvesting crops. “We can set up geo fences and curfews, we can count the amount of seeds that are put into the ground we can map fields, ” said Jason Renfroe, manager of Tennessee Tractor Company. “That is the technology we are talking about.” Students considering the school can get an associates degree in the field of agriculture mechanization.
