Wilcox Found Guilty in Attempted Molestation Case

A man from Morristown has been convicted in Madison County of attempted aggravated sexual battery on a three-year-old girl. Thursday, Stephen Wilcox, 44, was convicted by a jury after a two-day trial . He was originally charged with a more serious count of aggravated sexual battery. Wilcox is set to be sentenced April 9 and faces up to six years in prison. The charge stemmed from an incident in February of last year when the parents of the toddler told police they found Wilcox completely naked in the bed with the child who was only partially clothed.
