Police: Man Breaks into School, Tries to Set Fire

A Jackson man already on probation for breaking into Parkview School has been charged again with burglary and arson of the building. Patrick Dixson, 24, was arrested Tuesday night shortly after he tripped the alarm at the school. Officers said he broke a window at Parkview Learning Center and was preparing to steal items but was caught. Dixson is also accused of setting a fire that caused a small amount of damage. Dixson is on probation until 2015 after pleading guilty to breaking into Parkview in 2010. He remains jailed in lieu of $30,000 bond.
