A group of elders from King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church held its Youth Empowerment Program Saturday. The elders shared “life lessons” with the congregation’s young people, who received awards and money for A’s and B’s on their report cards. Associate Pastor Nathaniel Bell said, “Some things are going to have to be strived for in life, and that they are going to have to apply themselves in order to make themselves better young people.” Participants ranged in age from four to college freshmen.
