The 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh is coming up, and a local business owner is donating money to help fund Shiloh National Military Park. On Tuesday, 64 Liquors in Savannah donated $500 to the Friends of Shiloh, and unveiled the 150th Anniversary of Shiloh Commemorative Bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Whiskey. A Jack Daniels guitar was also donated to raise funds for the park. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket for the drawing, you can do so at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce. Their goal is to raise $3,000. “If I can help it somehow or another, why not do something for the park? So far I’ve done five charities, this is one of them. Hopefully if I can make a difference in that then I’m all for it,” said Mike Patel, store owner of 64 Liquors. The Civil War re-enactment will be held April 4 through 6 at Pickwick Landing State Park and Shiloh National Military Park. Organizers expect roughly 50,000 people to visit during that time.
