Eckford Charged in Child Rape

A Jackson man is behind bars accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. Joseph Michael Eckford was arrested Tuesday on a charge of rape of a child. Investigators said he attacked the child, Tuesday morning in her home. They said he knew the girl. Eckford will make his first court appearance on the charge, Wednesday morning.
