Haywood Co. Megasite Gets New Name

The Haywood County Megasite is getting a new name, as of now it will be known as the Memphis Regional Megasite. Haywood County Mayor Franklin Smith made the announcement, Wednesday. He said because Memphis is a globally recognized brand, it will be easier to market the 1,720-acre site. This is the only remaining TVA certified megasite in the state. Similar locations have been selected by Toyota, Volkswagen and Hemlock Semiconductors.
