Drano Bombs Explode at Muse Park
There was another scare in east Jackson’s Muse Park, Thursday afternoon, not involving gunfire, but homemade bombs. Those who live near the park initially called 911 around 2:45 p.m. and said they heard gun shots, but it was actually homemade Drano bombs that exploded. Four, according to police. Investigators said there were no injuries and no arrests, though there was a large crowd of teenagers in the park. Some told officers they had gone to Muse Park for a balloon fight. Two other unexploded Drano bombs were found near two different park pavilions. Bomb technicians detonated those before reopening the park late Thursday afternoon.
