Chess Club Pushes Game In Unique Way

There are marble chess sets, travel chess sets but what about a living chess set? That is exactly what the game was played on Friday at Jackson State Community College. The schools chess club turned a portion of the campus into a life size chess set with members playing the roles of the game pieces. Club President Chad Powers says the game of chess has been stereotyped as being a game for only the super intelligent. He adds he hopes by hosting events like this others will take up the game as a pastime.
