Gerdau Receives State Job Training Grant

Steel producer Gerdau, in north Madison County, has been awarded a $25,000 grant to help better train its workforce. The Incumbent worker Training Program is designed to create a better trained workforce, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, which awarded the funds. In its application, Gerdau stated it will use the grant to help it become the supplier of choice both externally and in-house.
