Nuisance Hearings Set For Three Jackson Nightclubs
Hearings against three Jackson nightclubs the city wants closed for being public nuisances, have been set. Originally set for last week, the hearings are now scheduled for June to allow each business to have a separate hearing since there are different facts to each case. Just last month, the attorney for the city of Jackson appeared in court where a judge set a date for the public nuisance hearing. The city asked a judge to close down the Mix Factory, Taboo and Desperados based on the number of police calls and disturbances at each. The Taboo hearing is set for June 11, the Mix Factory for June 18, and Desperados for June 25 in Madison County Chancery Court.
