Suspected Thief Charged in Thursday Bank Robbery

The man suspected of robbing a Regions Bank in Jackson, Thursday, then asking for a haircut at a nearby salon has been charged. According to Jackson police, Trung Huynh, 37, is charged with aggravated robbery. Police believe Huynh entered the Regions Bank in the 400 block of North Parkway around 11:10 a.m. and presented a note to a teller indicating he had a gun and demanding money. After the teller met his demands, he allegedly he walked out of the business with a bag of money and went down the street to Trends Hair Salon. People inside reported that he was acting suspicious, and had dye-stained money. After they notified police, officers responded and further investigation linked Huynh to the bank robbery. Police believe that Huynh acted alone and was not armed with a gun. The investigation has found that Huynh had been living in Jackson for about two months in a residence on Klein Dr. The FBI is also investigating the incident. Huynh is set to appear in Jackson City Court, Monday morning.
