Officials in Sharon Discover Source of Missing Water

A mystery about a huge water loss in Sharon has been solved, according to city officials. As 7 Eyewitness News first reported last month, Sharon City leaders said they received a letter from the state, in which an audit indicated a water loss of 47 percent, leaving 25 million gallons unaccounted for. City officials said the unaccounted water can be traced back to contractors who put in a new water line. The investigation showed workers neglected to cap-off an old line, causing a loss of the millions of gallons of water.
