McKenzie Police Chief’s Condition Improves

Good news for McKenzie Police Chief Bobby Pate as family told 7 Eyewitness News the chief is out of intensive care and in a private room. Last week, the chief was injured when he wrecked his motorcycle on his way to escort the Bethel University in-line hockey team that was returning home after winning a national championship. Pate underwent hours of surgery to repair broken ribs and injuries to his neck, back and head. A THP report indicated Pate ran off the road and into the median off Highway 22 in McKenzie .
