Mayor Celebrates National Day of Prayer with Prayer Breakfast

Thursday is the 61st annual observance of the National Day of Prayer. In Jackson, 900 people gathered at The Carl Perkins Civic Center for the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. Music was provided by The Praise Team of New Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church. The theme this year is “One Nation, Under God.” All of Jackson-Madison County church congregations were encouraged to attend. Mayor Jerry Gist said this is a very special day.
