The annual Mayor’s Civic Pride Awards recognize individuals who take exceptional care of their properties, including well-kept yards, beautiful landscaping and/or hardscape, and overall curb appeal.

Disaster unemployment assistance available in 29 Tennessee counties

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) announced Wednesday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has made Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) available for 29 Tennessee counties. These counties were impacted by the Tennessee Severe Winter Storms as declared in the Federal Disaster Declaration FEMA DR-4898.

Man convicted of raping daughter over 5 years in Haywood County

On April 21, 2026, after a two-day jury trial in the Circuit Court of Haywood County, Defendant Miguel De Jesus-Flores was found Guilty of all Counts in the indictment: Two Counts of Rape of a Child, Three Counts of Rape, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, and Incest.
