Herndon Crash Investigation Findings
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released its findings in the crash that critically injured Henry Police Chief Mark Herndon. According to Troopers, Chief Herndon was at fault in the wreck when he ran a red light, causing a log truck to crash into him, Monday morning. As of late Friday afternoon, he remained in critical, bust stable condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Herndon was driving south on U.S. Highway 79, in his department-issued SUV, when troopers said he ran the redlight at the intersection of State Highway 218. Troopers said charges are pending, dependant on the recovery of Chief Herndon.
