A Gibson County cable and internet provider is shining a light and leading the charge, literally on ways community members can live cleaner, greener lives. Leaders with Inforstructure Cable and Internet in Humboldt gave away 4,000 compact florescent light bulbs to community members in honor of Earth Day. The bulbs will be handed out through Friday, April 22, which is Earth Day. Organizers said they hope this week’s green giveaway motivates West Tennesseans to use more environmentally friendly, alternatives. “You know its a small community and we’re trying to do our part to show people that clean energy in available and saving the planet can be possible you know one small step at a time, said John Scruggs of Infostructure. You can also take a ride in the Tesla car, the fastest, non-polluting electric hybrid in the world, all free of charge.
