Leo Club Raises Money for School Supplies

BRADFORD, Tenn. – Students in Bradford found a way to feed other students on the first day back at school and raise money for a good cause all at the same time. The student members of the Forked Deer Leo Club, a youth version of Lions Club International, grilled food and sold snacks right after school to raise money to buy school supplies for other students in need. Because the first day of school was only a half day, no lunch was served. “We knew there wouldn’t be lunch for the kids, so we decided to have it here,” said Jordan Reynolds, Treasurer of the Club. “We are going to use the money to buy school supplies for those who need them.” In the past, the club of young leaders has also helped provided free eye exams and glasses to the needy.
