Police identify person hit by train in Tennessee

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) – Police have identified a person struck and killed by a train as an eastern Tennessee man.

Johnson City Police say they used fingerprints to identify 37-year-old Chad Perry of Unicoi. Officers say Perry was walking west on the railroad tracks on Sunday when a train traveling in the same direction struck him from behind.

The Johnson City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate the incident.
