Cloudy With Spotty Showers

Weather Update: Friday, October 8 —

Good Morning West Tennessee We have another quiet start to the morning. Temperatures are warmer again only falling into the lower 60s for most of the area, with upper 50s in NW Tennessee. Skies remain mainly overcast as tropical moisture continue drawing northward ahead of a trough. The trough will move from the southern Plains into the southern Mississippi River Valley tonight. At the same time the southerly flow will pull Hurricane Delta north into Louisiana as it becomes sheared and accelerates northwards towards west Tennessee. Here locally we will see that progress initially as clouds increase and deepen. Areas of showers may develop this afternoon as moisture deepens. I don’t expect any heavy rain or storms this afternoon or evening though. But having an umbrella for the football games tonight or being outdoors isnt a bad idea for the scattered light showers we do expect.
