Strawberry season begins, one farm offers hand-picked produce
MILAN, Tenn. — Green Acres Farm located in Milan began selling freshly picked strawberries this morning, April 17.
They say due to an early start to the season, their full workforce has not yet arrived resulting in a slower production pace.
If you plan to visit, please anticipate a line or the possibility of not getting strawberries at all.
“Well it’s strawberry time in West Tennessee and I came to get some fresh strawberries at Green Acres. We enjoy getting them every year. We’ve got the Strawberry Festival coming up in Humboldt in just a couple of weeks so it’s strawberry time,” said Shane Lynch, a customer.
Prices for berries are $38 dollars for an 8 quart flat and $5.50 for a single quart.
