Jackson Symphony presents two events for families to enjoy
JACKSON, Tenn. — If you love music, two events are on the way that you and your family can enjoy together.
The Jackson Symphony will celebrate Peter Shannon’s 10th anniversary as the conductor of the Jackson Symphony.
This free event will take place on Saturday, September 28 at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the First Presbyterian Church.
The program will include Shannons and the community’s favorites tunes. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Also, on October 12 at 7:30 p.m., the symphony will have Disney’s ‘Hocus Pocus’ in concert. Organizers encourage the community to come and be swept away by this beloved classic.
“Anytime that we can make music accessible to everyone, that is exactly what we want to do because that is our organization and that is what the Jackson Symphony believes in and is committed to,” said Sherry Freeman, executive director for the Jackson Symphony.
