Educator of the Week: Haven Hart
It’s time now to recognize our Educator of the Week, brought to you by the Tennessee Education Lottery.
Haven Hart is a kindergarten teacher at Beaver Elementary School in Henderson County.

She shares what made her decided to become an educator.
“It all started from a young age I feel like I was probably in kindergarten,” said Hart. “I just came home every day wanting to play teacher and I played with my cousins. I feel like God really put it on my heart to become a teacher.”
Hart has been teaching for 4th year. She tells us how she structures her classroom to be more upbeat and energetic to keep her kids engaged.
“I have a very structured classroom and my students kind of know what to expect from day to day. We do a lot of motion and movements and we get out of our seats, and with kindergarteners they have to have some kind of active movement,” said Hart.
Hart says her favorite part of teaching is watching her student grow.
“I would just say the growth and the learning. Just watching the kids grow everyday they grow so much from August to May. They worked so hard and it’s good to build those relationships with the students along with their parents,” said Hart.
She ends by showing her gratitude for winning educator of the week.
“I just feel so honored and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to become educator of the week this week. I feel like, like I said I come to work everyday and I does not feel like a job and it feels like a blessing and I am just grateful to be here and grateful to be chosen,” said Hart.
